Time capsule

Good afternoon, everyone. How’s it going? What are you doing now? I worked a part-time job for six hours yesterday so I’m tired a little. I will work a part-time job for six hours without having a rest today. Oh, I must go out 20 minutes later. Incidentally, I am taking it easy. By the way, please see this picture.

What do you think it? I am going to tell you about it. These are my personal belongings which I was an elementally student. Why do I have them now? Why then, do you know “time capsule”? It is a historic cache of goods or information, usually intended as method of communication with future people and to help future archaeologists, anthropologists, or historians. When I was in the sixth grade, I buried these things: a test I got a perfect score, a puzzle, a comma-shaped bead I made in visitation trip, a stuffed animal, some pictures I lived in Chiba and some small articles in time capsule. In New Year’s Day’s afternoon, I was going to go to my old school, but I had to work a part-time job so I could not go there. So my friend received in place of me and brought them in my office. When I saw the content of bag, I was so ashamed. Moreover, I saw a letter which I wrote before I buried in time capsule. Of course, old handwriting differs than now. In addition, I was still awkward with Japanese. Besides, my new and old treasures are different from each other. My treasures were silver medal which I got in meeting of Shorinjikenpo, various pictures, family and friends in those days. I realized that I am getting on in years when I read the letter. Thank you for your reading.

 ▼Campus life
I actively went to school last semester, but I was afraid of people and I could not go to school because of stresses and strains. However, my friends were always worried about me so I was happy. I will go to a hospital soon. They also sent e-mails to me every day. Even if I can’t get fall any subjects, I will do my best next year. I was so busy that I could not renewal my blog to my heart’s content this semester. To tell the truth, I did not want to renewal through writing class because it was troublesome. However, updating articles was fun for me little by little. I want to renewal as much as possible in future. In addition, even though I am tired or busy, I want to have reports to present deadline.

▼Part-time job
I work a part-time job fifth a week so I am always tired. I’m sometimes irritated because I cannot finish my job or there are many customers. So I must not be irritated and I have to smile sweetly at everyone. I have worked a part-time job for two years right now so I manage my job quickly. More and more I am trusted by coworkers, bosses, manager and FC.

 ▼Others
I could not do things that I wanted last year. For instance, I study Italian and Spanish, I watch a lot of animated cartoons, I go to karaoke, go shopping and the other things. I want to do these things in spring vacation and I lead a full life in this year. Then, I help my mother with household chores. Finally, I am not good at cleaning my room and it is dirty so I want to clean as often as possible this year. I usually tend to collect garbage so I want to throw away diligently when there is garbage in my room.

BR2-12: A Christmas Carol

It was Christmas Eve. London was very cold and foggy. (p.4)

I am going to tell you about “A Christmas carol”. By the way, how was your Christmas Eve and Christmas? Incidentally, I worked a part-time job. In Christmas Eve, I worked a part-time job from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. There were few customers than every Saturdays, but I could not finish my job on time. Then I was tired. Next day, I worked a part-time job from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Strictly speaking, I finished my job in 4 o’clock. I was dead on my feet. Anyway, this book is written by Charles Dickens in 1843 and it is famous around the world. The story tells of sour and stingy Ebenezer Scrooge’s ideological, ethical and emotional transformation after the supernatural visits of Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to come. In addition, he does not like Christmas. He meets three ghosts and he sees his surrounding people’s Christmas. Finally, he is the dead man. I expected that Ebenezer Scrooge is the dead man. This book is well worth reading. I was glad to read it. Thank you for your reading. (187 words)

BR2-11: Seven stories of mystery and horror

I read about the Maelstrom in a book and I always wanted to see it. (p.50)

I am going to tell you about “Seven stories of mystery and horror”. This book is constituted of seven stories, that is to say, “The pit and the pendulum”, ”The gold bug”, ”The facts in the case of Mr. Valdemar”, ”The fall of the house of Usher”, ”Down into the maelstrom”, ”The masque of the red death” and “The oblong box” which are written by Edgar Allan Poe. Honestly speaking, it was so hard for me to read this book. It took few days to read it. When I read it, I was excited and I thrilled with horror.

Next, I am going to tell you about some novels of this book.

▼The pit and the pendulum
The story is about the torments endured by a prisoner of the Spanish Inquisition, though Poe skews historical facts. At the beginning of the story an unnamed narrator is brought to trial before various sinister judges. Poe provides no explanation of why he is there or for what he has been arrested. The prisoner happens to a lot of misfortunes such as the walls have become red-hot and begun moving inwards, driving him into the center of the room and towards the brink of the pit. After I read this story, I felt so chilly. If I am in the prison, maybe I say ‘I want to die’.

▼The gold bug
I could read this novel easily and it was fun because it is crime fiction. I like the best novels of “Seven stories of mystery and horror”. Even if you do not like horror stories, you are able to read it. William Legrand becomes obsessed with searching for treasure after being bitten by a scarab-like bug thought to be made of pure gold. He notifies his closest friends, the narrator, telling him to immediately come visit him at his home on Sullivan’s Island in South California. Eventually, they read a riddle and found a skull of treasure.

▼The facts in the case of Mr. Valdemar
This novel is short story and the narrator presents the facts of the extraordinary case of Valdemar which have incited public discussion. He is interested in Mesmerism. His friend, Mr. Valdemar is also interested in it. However, he will probably die in twenty-four hours. Valdemar’s two physicians inform the narrator of their patient’s poor condition. After confirming again that Valdemar is willing to be part of the experiment, the narrator comes back the next night with two nurses and a medical student as witnesses. Finally, his entire body immediately decays into a nearly liquid mass of loathsome – of detestable putrescence. If I am he, I don’t want to die such as him. When I read the scene, I had a shivering fit.

▼The fall of the house of Usher
This novel is so famous. Do you know “The fall of the house of Usher”? Incidentally, I wanted to read it one time. The tale opens with the unnamed narrator arriving at the house of his boyfriend, Roderick Usher, having received a letter from him in a distant part of the country complaining of an illness and asking for his help. Roderick later informs the narrator that his sister has died and insists that she be entombed for two weeks in a vault in the house before being permanently buried. The narrator helps Roderick put the body in the tomb, and he notes that Madeline has rosy cheeks, as some do after death. They inter her, but over the next week both Roderick and the narrator find themselves becoming increasingly agitated for no apparent reason. As a result, Roderick died because of his sister and the narrator noticed a flash of light causing him to look back upon the House of Usher, in time to watch it break in two, the fragments sinking into the tarn.

If you’re interested in this book or these novels, please read! Or if you like horror and mystery, please read too. Thank you for your reading. (664 words)

About recently

Good morning, everyone. How’s it going? What are you doing now? I am sleepy and hungry. I already had breakfast a little while ago. I ate rice and natto. I unusually got up early today. I’ll probably go to bed soon. By the way, how is your winter vacation? I am going to tell you about recently.

First, I always watch a lot of animated cartoons: Otome wa Bokuni Koishiteru, Durarara, Hetalia, Blue Exorcist and the other anime. No matter when I watch animated cartoons, I am satisfied. There are a lot of animated cartoons I want to watch. However, I have to study harder so I will watch them spring vacation.

Then, I work a part-time job and I am busy. I worked for eight hours, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m last Sunday without taking a rest. Actually, I worked for nine hours so I was so tired and I could not move my legs well. There are few employees every slot so I work a part-time job five or six a week. I want owner and boss to employ new workers. In addition, I want them to raise my hourly wage because I order snacks three a week and remit.

Finally, I am idle to the bone. I usually get up past twelve and I idle at home until I work a part-time job. It is so cold in my room and I hate cold so I don’t want to move. I ought to move and exercise more. Thank you for your reading.

About the Emperor's Birthday

Hello, everyone. How is it going? What are you doing now? Incidentally, I am taking it easy.     I went to Hikarinomori to discuss insurance with my father in three o’clock. After 30 minutes, the discussion finished and I said ‘good-bye’ to my father and I watched movie, K-ON alone. It was interesting. When I watched it, I wanted to take a bathroom. I bought K-ON’s file which costs 500 yen and strap which costs 200 yen after I watched it. Next, I dropped by some clothing shops and I bought who shirts. Spazing around the store, I got hold of a black wallet and it was cheap so I bought it. I love it. Then, I wanted glasses because I lost my good eyesight so I went to glasses store. I selected my favorite one and I had an eye exam. While a maker make my glasses, I enjoyed shopping. I bought some underclothes, comic books and eye lotion. Forty-five minutes later, I went to the glasses store to receive it again. Finally, going to cosmetic shop, I bought two bottles of colon and eyeliner. I had a good time there but I don’t have enough money. Ha-ha. Thank you for your reading.

Emi's post (Romeo and Juliet rewrite)

Do you love anyone now? If your love is not admitted to people, what would you think about it? Or what would you do?

I am going to tell you about ‘Romeo and Juliet’. I have watched ‘Romeo and Juliet’ in an introduction of English literature class and read it before. To tell the truth, I felt that it is said in a roundabout way. In addition, sometimes I did not understand what characters say. ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is written by William Shakespeare in 1594 and it is so famous around the world. The hero, Romeo is Leonardo Wilhelm Dicaprio. He’s from California, U.S.A. He is a famous movie star. He appeared in a lot of famous films including “Titanic”. When I watched this movie, his acting was amazing. On the other hand, the heroine, Juliet is Claire Danes. I have never heard her name. The story is set in Verona, Italy. Romeo, he is a son of Montague and Juliet, she is a daughter of Capulet fell in love each other. However, their houses were enemies. Eventually, overcoming the objections of those around them, the couple finally got married, but it was slowly, that is to say, they already died. When I watched that scene, I cried. Juliet pretended that she died, but Romeo is mistaken. He went to her grave and he drank poison. When she woke up there, he just about died. I do not know why they died. If your love such as your boyfriend or girlfriend, husband or wife die, do you also do? If my boyfriend who will have in the future dies, maybe I don’t do. However, I’ll feel really sad. In conclusion, they were in love. Their acts were surprising for me.

I yearn for their love: Romeo and Juliet love each other. I want to love like they do. When Juliet pretended that she died, Romeo said ‘Ah, dear Juliet. Why art thou yet so fair?’ I want to talk to me like that. I feel that it is strange one. I felt there are some words which are strange in this movie. For instance, Juliet said ‘O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?’ This expression is so famous. I don’t understand it. Incidentally, I watched and read it, looking over on Internet and some books. Looking over, I knew at last. This movie is so sexual. I am interested in Shakespeare’s productions so if I have enough time, I want to read his books. Thank you for your reading.
