KGU’s Introduction At KGU, we have an Eibeigakka.

We will tell you about the Eibeigakka of Kumamoto Gakuen University. It has the best results of getting a job in our university. It has also the system of studying abroad and omnibus study support system. For example, there are many OB's who became clerks of Higo Bank, staff of

Japan Air Lines Hotel Kumamoto, radiocasters of Radio Kumamoto (RKK), and flight attendants of Japan Air Lines. In 1st grade, we must take English Grammar because it is the most basic subject of all. If you neglect to study English Grammar, you will probably regret it. The aim is to make the students remember the knowledge of English Grammar which they learned when they were in senior high school. If you remember English Grammar perfectly, you may become great English teacher. In every February all of the students of Eibeigakka have a duty to take the Test Of English for International Communication (TOEIC).Without taking it, you may fail, so be careful. Every December, the English Speech Contest is held in order to improve the ability of English communication. If you participate in this contest after you prepare a manuscript and practice, your English ability will become higher and higher. The winners receive a prize in this contest often play an active part as flight attendants of international airlines, employees of International Corporation, and English teacher of senior high school. If you have a chance to participate in this contest, why don't you do so?

By the way, do you know this department's features? According to Mr. Tadamitsu Kamimoto who is the chair of eibeigakka, there are some unique features. First of all, he says "We make the students raise their ability of international communications. We guide them in the four skills (Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening)." Secondly, the department raises their international comprehension. Finally, the department also raises their international activities. Although eibeigakka is hard, the bright future is waiting for you.

School library

Next, we are going to tell you about school library. The library opens from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. except every Sundays. Incidentally, when it opens from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Sundays. And it closed for major holidays. There are a lot of books, materials, magazines, newspapers and the other things to look over so almost all students use the library every day. It is convenient to study, help reports you have to finish or read books. Not only almost all of the KGU students, but also graduates and common man use it every day. There are about eight hundred thousand volumes in school library. In addition, there are a lot of computers so the students are able to finish reports, use on the Internet or look over morgues archive. Furthermore, you can borrow books how many times you wants. However, you must work to your deadline. Although you can borrow for two weeks, you should return for a week when you borrow from the basement. If you don’t find a book you look for, you can ask librarians where the book is.

Then, we are going to tell you about each floor of the library. The first floor is a lot of books and computers. Maybe all students of eibeigakka often use this floor because they have to read English book in order to renew their blog in writing class. Generally speaking, it is called ‘English garden’ and there are lots of English books from easy to difficult English books such as novels which are written by famous writers, children’s stories, foreign countries and the other books. I think your English skill will progress. There are private rooms too. However, if you want to use them, you have to make a reservation. There is a study room on this floor and it is not on the other floor. You can only drink, but you mustn’t eat anything here. The second floor, there are a lot of newspapers, materials and desks to study at. All students of eibeigakka often use this floor because they have to present reports after they read English newspapers in reading class. Though there are computers, the second floor has fewer than the first floor. Besides, there is an AV room this floor. Whenever you can watch movies, you can watch and enjoy. Not only watching movies, but also you can enjoy listening to music. The third floor, there are no computers and few books. For instance, there are foreign magazines and local materials. There are only some desks to study, but there are private rooms this floor. It is always a still. When you want to study silently, you ought to use this floor.

Sometimes school library shows movies. If you’re interested, you should drop by there.

School lunch

We will tell you about two KGU restaurants. KGU restaurant was established in April 1992. The restaurant is in KGU at the seventh pavilion and third pavilions.  You can eat several foods here. At the seventh pavilions the restaurant is opened from 8:30 am to 19:45. But during the vacation it is opens from 8:30 am to 18:40. There are 42 foods in this restaurant. My recommend food is “yamakakesoba”. This is 260 yen. And there is also soft cream. It is 100 yen. This is very sweet and delicious. But I want shaved ice. In winter, seventh pavilion restaurant sells “oden” and “yakiimo”. There are six vending machines. And third pavilion restaurant has three vending machines. But I’ve never eaten lunch at the third pavilion restaurant. Many students come here at 12:10 pm to the third and seventh pavilion restaurant. I think the third pavilion restaurant is more popular than the seventh pavilion restaurant. The size is not large for the seventh pavilion. And I often use seventh pavilion restaurant. There are circle rooms in third pavilion restaurant. I had belonged to orchestra club, so I had to go there. Perhaps, the student assembly also is using a room there.

And these restaurants are used for study. In lunch time there are many students in both restaurants. There are many students who eat lunch there because there is a large plaza in front of the seventh pavilion restaurant, and are some benches, too.

 And there is a yard beside the third pavilion. At the seventh pavilion restaurant many students come here and enjoying talking and eating with friends. And these are used meeting of circle. It is used also for the meeting spot well. To the worst thing, seventh pavilion restaurant is cell phone wave becomes an out of the sphere. Many students feel bad.

The school restaurants are places for student to rest.

BR1-15: Earthquakes

  An earthquake is the shaking of the Earth’s surface. (p.4)

  Of course, everyone knows the earthquake occurred four months ago in Tohoku area. Not only the earthquake, but also tsunami broke out. Hearing the news, I was too surprised and struck dumb with astonishment. Before I read this book, I know how earthquakes happen in science class. When I heard science teacher’s lecture, I was too scary about it. However, I was also afraid of it after I read this book. I practiced taking shelter from elementary school student to high school student. I think training is very important for us. I also think I wonder when the earthquakes happen. Incidentally, I prepare emergency foods such as noodles and underwear if the earthquakes happen. (114 words)

About my coworkers and office

Hi, everyone. How are you? What are you doing now? Incidentally, I’m in school library with my friend that I and she have known for three years. I’m sleepy and hungry because I only slept three hours. In the first period, I took a test, English education method class so I studied in midnight. It was so-so. Today, I’ll tell you about my coworkers and office.

 First, I work as a clerk in a convenience store, seven eleven in my hometown. I work a part-time job four times a week, Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. I sometimes work five times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Not only cash register, but also order and remittance I’m left from the bosses. My hourly wage is too cheap that it cost 670 yen so I want them to gain my hourly wage more.

Next, I’ll tell you about my office. There are a lot of customers every day so I’m too busy. Of course, almost customers are too kind, but a part of the customer is too fastidious. Whenever I come into contact with them, I am usually unpleasant to them. However, I am happy when the customers say such as ‘Thank you’ or ‘I appreciate your hard work’ to me. Hearing like these words, I’m able to do my best all the time. By the way, whenever I go somewhere, I always say ‘Thank you’ to a clerk after I finish paying. So much for the digression, a uniform we, employee wear changed recently. I hate present uniform because I realize the swell of my stomachache easily.

Next, I’ll tell you about my coworkers. Mr. and Mrs. Honda are my bosses. They work from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. except every Sundays. They only think about the proceeds and customers so I think they don’t think about us, employees. Also they are severe and too fastidious. However, I can’t thank them enough because they employed me. Those persons are tough to deal with.

Mr. Itokawa will be a person in charge here. He works from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. except every Sundays, but he works from 6 p.m. to 0 a.m. recently. When I first saw him, he looked too stern and too severe. However, he is too fun and kind. I learned I must not judge a person how they look. Sometimes I talk with him and he advises me for future reference. When I hear his advice, I learn a lot of things. Incidentally, I talked with him last Friday. I talked about two or three hours. It was too fun for me. I like him. Of course, I like as my coworkers.

Mr. Fujisaki is about 30 years old. He has worked here for three years and he works from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. except every Mondays. He has a gentle heart and manages his jobs so I respect him. I have little opportunity to talk with him. I want to talk with him, but I feel an invisible barrier between him. I only know in where he lives.

Mr. Matsumoto is about 50 years old. He works from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. He works as paper carrier too. He is too kind and I can talk with him easily. His and my birthday is closed. My birthday is 13^th August and his birthday is 2^nd August. Furthermore, He probably has three daughters. I think his smile is too good. I want to imitate him.

Mr. Shimada is as old as I. He works from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. five times a week, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not only this place, but also other place he works. I think he is too tired more than other coworkers. He has works for three months so he is a recruit. He notices customers and he is a clever guy.

Mrs. Hirose is Mr. Honda’s elder sister. She works from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. except every Sundays. Though she has a bad leg, the bosses use her so I always think she is too sorry. She is too pretty, kind and scatterbrain.

Mrs. Araki works from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. She probably works six times a week. She has a daughter and three sons. To tell the truth, I didn’t like her at first. When I was a recruit, she got angry about me. I thought she is too severe. However, as time passes, I knew that she is too kind and she got angry for me. Now, I sometimes talk and consult with her. Whenever I consult, she advises politely. In addition, I don’t think that she has children and she is about 30 years old. As I said like that to her, she was too happy. I sometimes receive something such as sweets and vegetables from her. I can’t thank her enough.

Mrs. Nishi works from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., but she sometimes works from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. or from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. According to her story, she is as old as Mr. Itokawa. When I heard this, I was too surprised. She is too serious and kind. Besides she notices the customers so I can work easily whenever I work with her. She is also too fun. I think she likes animated cartoons so if I talk with her, we can enjoy talking.

Mrs. Ida works from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. except every Fridays. She is too gentle, but when I talk with her, she is too fun. Though I know her mail-address, I don’t know when I send a message to her. She said ‘I wait for your mail’ to me so I’m going to send it soon. However, what should I send? I worry. Incidentally, I want to go shopping or drink with her. Immediately, I have to register his mail-address and cell phone number with my cell phone soon.

Mrs. Takeuchi works from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. four times a week. She is too cheerful. Whenever I see and work with her, I cheer up. I like her as my coworkers. However, she must shift from this office to new office which is a sister shop so I was too sad. While I work with her and Mr. Shimada, I can enjoy my jobs. Yesterday, I talked with them. It was too fun for me. I want to go karaoke with her someday. I also want to drink.

Ms. Sakata is as old as I. She is a university student in Shokei. She learns about foods and nutrition there. She works from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. twice a week. She is too cheerful and she is a fast worker so I respect. Whenever I talk with her, she is too fun. She has a boyfriend so I’m envious. I want to go shopping with her someday. Yeah.

Mrs. Yamamuro works from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. twice a week, every Saturdays and Sundays. She is too graceful and fluffy person. She has a daughter, who is one years old. When Mrs. Yamamuro dropped by here, she took her baby together. She was too cute! Mrs. Takeuchi held a baby her in her arms, but I thought she is envious. I wanted to hold. She has a good head on her shoulders very much so when I work with her, I can work easily.

To tell the truth, I won’t tell you about my coworkers as yet. However, I don’t know how characters they are. In addition, I haven’t worked with them. I want to tell you about them someday. I’m sorry that this article is too long. It is too long to read easily. Thank you for your reading.

  This book is written about a famous writer, Mark Twain. I know him so I learned in American literature lecture. He also is written “Adventures of Huckleberry Fin”. The book is too famous. Tom is too mischievous so him aunt and friends get involved in many things, for instance he didn’t like working and didn’t paint long fence so he left his friends to do the work. Tom is too a funny person. When I was a child, my elder sister left me to do various things. I also left my younger brother to do them so I know Tom’s and his friends’ feeling. However, though he his has favorite person, he is too pretty. Afterwards, he and his friends, Huckleberry Fin and Joe go to a small island to do something exciting, but they have a feeling of homesickness. I thought if they want to go home, they shouldn’t go from the beginning. I want to take the chances of doing such as Tom. If you are interested in, please read this book. Thank you for your reading. About yesterday

  Hi, everyone. How’s it going? What are you doing now? I’m taking it easy in my house now. After I renewal this article, I’m going to clean my room and study for test. I have to take a test, English education method tomorrow so I ought to study harder. By the way, I’ll tell you about what happened yesterday.

  I woke up at 9 o’clock. I cleaned my room a little as I was listening to music, but I didn’t make away easily. After I showered, I worked a part-time job from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. However, there were a lot of customers so I didn’t progress my jobs. Mrs. Araki said ‘Are you too annoyed now?’ to me. I didn’t progress my job and there were many customers so I was too annoyed. I and my coworker usually finish placing the goods past 3 p.m., but we finished placing them before 5 p.m. yesterday. We were in cash register all the time. I usually finish deciding places of new sweets before 5 p.m., but I finished deciding before 6 p.m. After I decided them, I began to order. While I order, I talked my coworker, Mrs. Ida. We complained each other. Then, it was 7 o’clock. Oh, my god!! We didn’t clean toilet and take out the garbage. I didn’t order and remit. I wanted to finish these things as soon as possible. When I finished, it was 9 o’clock. I met my coworkers, Mr. Matsumoto and Mr. Fujisaki who work from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. I talked them in this office. I think it is fun for me to talk with them. I came home after 10 p.m. I was too tired. I think today is the day of sea so there were a lot of customers yesterday. I wanted my boss budget in consideration for this thing.

  I’ll work a part-time job from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. today. I think there’ll be a lot of customers today and I’ll be too tired. Today, I don’t want to go there because it is windy today.   Hi, everyone. How’s it going? What are you doing now? I was sleeping a little while ago, but I woke. I’ll go to bed again after I wrote this article. I have a stomachache now. By the way, I took three tests, international society and Japan, American literature history and speaking III last Friday. They were too difficult for me. I had to study harder, but I neglected.   I introduced I told you about my friend who likes cheese cakes last article, but I’ll tell you about other friend this article. She is a KGU student, the Department of Welfare environment. I and she have known for ten years. When I moved here in the fourth grade, I knew her from friend to friend. She is too kind and has total recall so whenever I meet and I eat lunch with her, she often talks the past story. To tell the truth, I generally don’t remember the events she talks so I always say ‘I don’t remember. Why do you remember so much?’ to her. Hearing her stories, I am usually ashamed my past deed. According to her story, I’d eat three of potato chips which are on sale. However, I and she rarely became the same class. In addition, I and she belonged to different club activity. However, I and she played whenever we have free time. I was surprised that we were the same high school. Sometimes I call her ‘Uta-chan’ and that means ‘nap’.
