 Have you ever been to California? Do you know Americans call California ‘The Golden State’? I’ve never been there and I don’t know that Americans call it ‘The Golden State’. However, surely, I think so too. There are Disneyland, big parks, great cities and a lot of people who live. According to this book, more than thirty million people live here. After I read this sentence, I was too surprised. Then California is big. But only Texas and Alaska are bigger than California. When I read this book, I want to go famous places such as Yosemite National Park, Los Angeles, Disneyland and the other places in California. BR2-05: Food

All living things need food and water. (p.4)

All living things need food and water, therefore food chain is in the world. For instance, the beetle, which was meal for the bird, ate the leaves. Next, the cat catches the bird, which caught the beetle. I write in a roundabout way. Not only the birds and cats, we kill pigs, birds, fishes to eat. By the way, how many kinds of fruit and vegetables do you like? Incidentally, I like all fruits except persimmon and avocado. They are too sweet and fresh. Especially, I like water melon, orange, mango, pineapple, Muscat and litchi. I like vegetable very much. I like to eat as salad. I particularly like lettuce, green pepper, cucumber, corn, potato, carrot and cabbage. However, I don’t like eggplant, broccoli and cauliflower. I want I’m able to eat these vegetables. Some people including children don’t like vegetables. I don’t know why they can’t eat them. I think everyone ought to read this book. Thank you for your reading. (162 words)

BR2-04: A Plastic World

In 1862, Alexander Parks invented plastic, and the world began to change. (p.5)

  Today, all kinds of things are made of plastic such as PET bottles, furniture, dishes and the other things. Plastic is too necessary that we live peacefully. Some people think that plastic has been good for the world. Of course, I think plastic is good. However, some people think it has been bad. Plastic is cheap and light so I think it is too convenience for us. But when plastic is being made, it sends gases into the air. These gases can be bad for people and the environment. Then, plastic bags are bad for the environment. Plastic is good for packing things, but too much of it ends up as rubbish. Some plastic rubbish goes into the sea so animals that live in the sea become trapped in the plastic rubbish and die. Plastic have both advantage and disadvantage. I use eco bag whenever I go shopping. It is too useful so I want everyone to use it. Thank you for your reading. (164 words)

BR2-03: Let's Dance

Dance is a very old art form. (p.4)

People dance as a performance art form, as part of ritual and for something fun to do in Japan. I like to dance. Of course, I like to see dance. I feel fun whenever I see and do it. Chinese celebrate their New Year wit a lion dance. Dance is also a big part of celebrating New Year in parts of India. I knew first. However, I know that New Zealand sports teams dance the haka to help them feel strong before they play a game. On the other hand, Japanese don’t dance New Year to celebrate and to help them feel strong before they play a game. From view of Japanese, it is odd. Japanese usually dance as a performance art form. Dance is different from each world. Incidentally, I want to see flamenco in Spain. Thank you for your reading. (142 words)

BR2-02: Making a Cake

Is making a cake like making a work of art? Or is making a cake science? (p.4)

I thought making a cake is art first. I also thought making a cake is science is too strange. Whenever I look cakes in a cake shop, I think they are art. Besides I watched a wedding cake recently. It was too tasty and beautiful. I thought how the cake is cooked. By the way, do you like cakes? What cakes do you like? Incidentally, I like chocolate cake because I like chocolate! When I watch TV program such as cooking program, my mouth waters. Ha-ha. After I read this book, I want to eat some cake. However, according to this book, the best cakes are part science and part art. It is the chemical and physical changes that make the ingredients into a cake. I think so too. Emi's post (Toy Story rewrite)

   Did you like to play with toys when you were a child? Moreover, did you treat them with care? Incidentally, I liked to collect toys and stuffed animals when I was a child. I sometimes buy them if there is a pretty stuffed animal in a bazaar. There are a lot of toys and stuffed animals which I collected in my room now. Today, I’m going to tell you about “Toy Story”.

   “Toy Story” is one of the movies which were made by Walt Disney and I like it very much since I was a young. I like all the characters of Toy story. I love the Little green men, Woody and Buzz Lightyear and all the other Toy story’s characters. I also like the story. Of course, I watched as a movie. I also read it. I was too moved then as well. After I watched and read, I knew that I had to treat toys and stuffed animals carefully. Sid is a young boy, who torments with them and Andy is also a young boy, who treats them with care and he is the owner of Woody and Buzz Lightyear in this movies. When I was a child, I tormented toys as much as Sid. I liked to adapt a toy. I probably think that everyone did like that. We couldn’t treat with care like Andy did. If I marry and have children, I’ll teach them to treat toys and stuffed animals nicely. Not only toys, but also a lot of other things we have to treasure. Especially, we must treasure something which we borrow from other people. Andy can treasure them, but he likes Buzz better than Andy, that is to say he likes a new toy. Not only Andy, but everyone likes new things very much. Of course, I like a new toy or a stuffed animal better than an old one. If I am Buzz, I’m happy. However, if I am Woody, I was sad because Andy likes Buzz. Even if I can get new goods, I must treasure the old. I’ll also teach my children like this. I want to watch and read this story again.
