About the Emperor's Birthday

   Hello, everyone. How is it going? What are you doing now? Incidentally, I am taking it easy. I am going to work a par-time job from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. I probably think that there are a lot of customers so it will be busy. How is your winter vacation? I am going to tell you about yesterday, the Emperor’s Birthday.

    I went to Hikarinomori to discuss insurance with my father in three o’clock. After 30 minutes, the discussion finished and I said ‘good-bye’ to my father and I watched movie, K-ON alone. It was interesting. When I watched it, I wanted to take a bathroom. I bought K-ON’s file which costs 500 yen and strap which costs 200 yen after I watched it. Next, I dropped by some clothing shops and I bought who shirts. Spazing around the store, I got hold of a black wallet and it was cheap so I bought it. I love it. Then, I wanted glasses because I lost my good eyesight so I went to glasses store. I selected my favorite one and I had an eye exam. While a maker make my glasses, I enjoyed shopping. I bought some underclothes, comic books and eye lotion. Forty-five minutes later, I went to the glasses store to receive it again. Finally, going to cosmetic shop, I bought two bottles of colon and eyeliner. I had a good time there but I don’t have enough money. Ha-ha. Thank you for your reading.

Emi's post (Romeo and Juliet rewrite)

Do you love anyone now? If your love is not admitted to people, what would you think about it? Or what would you do?

I am going to tell you about ‘Romeo and Juliet’. I have watched ‘Romeo and Juliet’ in an introduction of English literature class and read it before. To tell the truth, I felt that it is said in a roundabout way. In addition, sometimes I did not understand what characters say. ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is written by William Shakespeare in 1594 and it is so famous around the world. The hero, Romeo is Leonardo Wilhelm Dicaprio. He’s from California, U.S.A. He is a famous movie star. He appeared in a lot of famous films including “Titanic”. When I watched this movie, his acting was amazing. On the other hand, the heroine, Juliet is Claire Danes. I have never heard her name. The story is set in Verona, Italy. Romeo, he is a son of Montague and Juliet, she is a daughter of Capulet fell in love each other. However, their houses were enemies. Eventually, overcoming the objections of those around them, the couple finally got married, but it was slowly, that is to say, they already died. When I watched that scene, I cried. Juliet pretended that she died, but Romeo is mistaken. He went to her grave and he drank poison. When she woke up there, he just about died. I do not know why they died. If your love such as your boyfriend or girlfriend, husband or wife die, do you also do? If my boyfriend who will have in the future dies, maybe I don’t do. However, I’ll feel really sad. In conclusion, they were in love. Their acts were surprising for me.

I yearn for their love: Romeo and Juliet love each other. I want to love like they do. When Juliet pretended that she died, Romeo said ‘Ah, dear Juliet. Why art thou yet so fair?’ I want to talk to me like that. I feel that it is strange one. I felt there are some words which are strange in this movie. For instance, Juliet said ‘O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?’ This expression is so famous. I don’t understand it. Incidentally, I watched and read it, looking over on Internet and some books. Looking over, I knew at last. This movie is so sexual. I am interested in Shakespeare’s productions so if I have enough time, I want to read his books. Thank you for your reading.

  I am going to tell you about Life in the Amazon Jungle. Honestly speaking, I was so surprised and I did not want to read this book because it appeared on animals such as snake I hate. There are a lot of life, animals, insects and trees in the Amazon Jungle. However, because of people, the Amazon Jungle is destroyed. According to this book, every day, people cut down, burn or clear 13000 acres of rainforest, and scientists say that every day, over 130 plants, animal and insect species are lost from the planet forever. I was surprised. We must do to help save the world’s remaining rainforests. For instance, we have to find out what is happening in the world’s rainforests. Next, we ought to tell others what is happening in the world’s rainforests. Finally, we should try not to use products that destroy the rainforest. Actually, it is so difficult to do like that. High School Debut

   I am going to tell you about one of my favorite comic books, “High School Debut”. Do you know this book? It is girl’s romantic comedy manga by Kazune Kawahara. It collected 13 bound volumes. The series follows the relationship between Haruna Nagashima who is a high school student and she belonged to softball club and You Komiyama who is cool boy she convinces to coach her in romance. Haruna Nagashima gave her all to softball club in middle school so now that she has made her high school debut and she has decided to give her all for a new goal: getting a boyfriend and fall in love. However, she has one small problem; that is to say, she never has paid any attention to fashion or trends in middle school. One day, she meets You and she asks him to coach but one on condition: he must not fall in love with him. Eventually, she falls in love with him.

    Next, I am going to tell you about main characters of this story.

▼Haruna Nagashima

She is a main character and she is a high school student. She is lively. She belonged to softball club when she was a junior high school student. She accidentally meets You and she asks him to coach. However, she must not fall in love with You. She meets him and she makes friends with him, his friends and his sister. She fell in love with his friend, Fumiya. However, she failed. Eventually, she falls in love with You.

He is cool guy and he is older than Haruna. He knows the ideas on how to impress the men from a woman’s point of view. Although a little shy and easily embarrassed, he represents a figure of cool demeanor, he was even once confessed to by most of the girls in his class. In the beginning when Haruna asked him to tutor her about profession in boyfriend-making he warned her not to fail in love with him or cry around him. Incidentally, I like You because he is kind and cool.

▼Asami Komiyama

She is You’s sister and she is as old as Haruna. Although she is pretty and admired by many boys, she often shows her conceited side. She has a serious brother complex. She wants Haruna and her elder brother, You to be together, but sometimes she tries to protect him when she thinks Haruna is trying to get to You sexually. Often, when Haruna is having a problem, Asami says it is going to be ‘funny’ but quickly replaces it with ‘trouble’. She likes Fumiya, but wanted to test him and see if he would wait forever in the snow for her. Haruna failed her love once because of Asami. I hate her because she has a selfish disposition.

▼Fumiya Tamura

He is You’s friend. He is called ‘Fumi’. He is so kind. Later, he will be Asami’s boyfriend. His personality and dense sense are similar to Haruna.

▼Yui Asaoka

He is You’s friend. He works a part-time job in a restaurant. He is also so kind like Fumiya. You says that ninety percent of what Asaoka says is out of kindness and that whoever goes out with him would be happy because of all the kind words he says. He once went on a date with Haruna to make You jealous. To tell the truth, he likes Haruna but he hides his true feeling in jokes. He confesses with simplicity to Haruna. However, she thinks ‘jokes’.

▼Mami Takahashi

She is Haruna’s best friend since they were junior high school students. She is notably calm and collected, being able to read Haruna like an open book. Their friendship is a close one and Haruna has described how Mami first became her friend by helping her with her pitching. She works a part-time job at a video rental shop and she was the softball captain of their team.
