BR1-05: Jack and the BEANSTALK

Once upon a time there was a little boy. His name was Jack and he lived with his mother in a small house in the forest. They were very poor.(p.3)

I like this book from early childhood so I want to read again. I think you know this book and story well. It is very interesting for me to read this one. I was excited that Jack did: for instance, he climbed a big beanstalk, he was not scary a horrible giant, he took a big bag of gold, a magic hen and the giant’s golden harp and so on. However, I think his acts are as if a thief. What did he and his mother spend every day if he meets an old man and gives five beans on the road? If I’m his position, I don’t give them.
